WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU?

My work has been described as classic, natural, and sentimental with a fine art quality. I combine traditional and lifestyle photography along with portraiture to capture genuine images for you to treasure for a lifetime. Imagine your family as fine art. As your photographer, I will provide a generous pinterest-style gallery of images that can be displayed in your home as pieces of art or archived in a custom album to be treasured for generations. These photographs will be an investment in your family history. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. We do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural. We are not after that "one" shot with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Sure, we may get some with everyone looking and smiling, but I promise if we do, it will be because it happened naturally, not because it was forced.

HOW CAN I BOOK A SESSION WITH YOU?

My best advice it to book early. During busy season (February - April & October - December), my schedule fills up fast. After you CONTACT ME, I'll send you collection options. 

HOW DO WE PICK A LOCATION AND WHAT DO I WEAR?

Don't worry! Once we book your session, we'll have a phone call, and then I'll send you a Session Prep Guide that walks you through the preparing process. Along the way, I'll ask you lots of questions to learn all about you and yours! If you don't have a location in mind, I have plenty of options for you. You can also read this Wardrobe Tips article.

HOW MANY OUTFIT AND LOCATION CHANGES CAN I HAVE?

My rule of thumb is that it takes at least 15 minutes to change wardrobe. Whether or not you can change outfits and/ location depends on the collection you choose and the number in your party.

WHAT TYPES OF SESSIONS DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH?

I actually can't think of anything that I don't photograph! I love imagery of all kinds. I really really love meeting all sorts of people in all sorts of situations. After we talk, if you decide I don't fit your needs, I'm happy to refer you to a colleague that I trust, and who may specialize in what you are looking for.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH DESTINATION SESSIONS AND WEDDINGS?

Oh yes! Call me directly and we'll discuss the details. 

DO YOU DO COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY?

Of course. I do studio or on-location headshots, & real estate photography. I have a drone, so I can do aerials as needed.

WILL I GET MY DIGITAL PHOTOS AFTER THE SHOOT?
Photographs grow in value over time and become family treasures. We know the importance of archiving and saving digital images. We offer one simple, all-inclusive collection where you receive all the high resolution digital files delivered via direct download and a print release. 

WHEN, HOW AND WHERE CAN I ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AND PRODUCTS?
Within four weeks of your shoot, you will receive a link to a private online gallery. You will have one month to order additional products.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES IN MY GALLERY FROM OUR SHOOT?
We look carefully at each and every image we capture at your session and hand select the best images. We are looking for images that represent us as artists and you, as each is radically
unique.

WHAT IS IN YOUR BAG?

My favorite ONA bag holds a Nikon D850, Nikon z7, DJI Drone, flashes; as well as 105mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4, and 35mm f/1.4, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and handfulls of memory cards. I am usually on-location using natural light, so I'll usually have a reflector. I'm also short so I use a handy step stool a lot.

WHAT TIME DO YOU SCHEDULE YOUR SESSIONS?

Sessions are scheduled during a very precise time of day based on the type of shoot you are requesting. Light can vary greatly depending if we are indoors, outdoors, in a field, or next to a building! Generally, my sessions are scheduled in the late-afternoon/evening hours of the day. For example, in March, depending on that day’s light, we may start a session at 7:00pm; in December, depending on the day’s light, we could be starting a session at 2:00pm. Newborn and in-home sessions are best in the mid-morning.

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT?

Full sessions offer a customized experience from beginning to end. Full session fees range: $350-$550, depending on the time & digital images you select. Portrait collections and a la carte (i.e.: additional digital images/prints/products) are sold separately.

Petite sessions are 30 minutes and a handful of images and begin at $135.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE GETS SICK?

I understand that people get sick and that the weather misbehaves, so I always plan in advance. If you, or someone in your crew, gets sick, we can reschedule for another date. Kindly give me 24 hours notice so I can make arrangements. The same is true for rainy days or non-ideal weather. If rescheduling due to weather isn't preferred, I always have backup indoor locations to shoot in.
