Hello & welcome to the blog! I'm Angela Norton, and I'm a family, senior, & wedding photographer based in North Central Florida. I'd love for you to relax a while here, and enjoy reading the ANP stories. You'll also find resources for your next session or wedding!
This is the family session that literally weathered a storm, and it was worth it!
Megan had a bit of a hard time finding a session date, which is a common problem as we get closer to the holidays. And after daylight savings, there’s even more difficulty as sessions start at 4 pm, which feels so early.
So, when the beautiful day turned stormy, we had to push through. We managed to get in some pictures before the storm and some more after.
You’ll notice the difference vibe and color, which was pretty cool to us!

So, I’m going to try really hard to not fan-girl this high school senior. I just think the world of her.
Emma will be graduating Williston High School in 2021, and the world better watch out. She’s got the trifecta: brains, beauty, and grit. She’s got a limitless future ahead of her.
Her mom found this hidden gem of a location, Emma was skeptical, but checked it out anyway. And boy was she thrilled. And however happy Emma was, I was a hundred times happier. That place doesn’t even look like Florida! Ironically, during our consultation meeting, I was off-handedly complaining that our area of Florida is so flat and finding even a hill is hard. Well, God must have been listening and threw me a bone!
Sometimes we felt like we were out west, sometimes we imagined we were in Ireland. Everywhere we turned was beauty and had texture and HILLS!
On top of the epic location, we had a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, not too hot at all, with a nice breeze. Emma was smart and had a hairstyle that would blow perfectly in the breeze and still look good. Speaking of Emma’s choices…. This girl! Ya’ll, she had everything planned to a tee! It was a joy to work with her and her outstanding style. She was so prepared that I’ve asked her to be a guest host on my blog and share her advice on how to prep for a senior session. I’ll share it as soon as it’s ready!
She was ready to go from the gate (literally). We got into the gate and the cows were there, and she went right into model posing level 10! And it only got better. If you’ve read any of my past blog posts, you’ll know that I love (LOVE) a client who trusts me and is willing to try anything. Sometimes we hit it out of the park, and sometimes we don’t, but a try-it-anyway attitude is a characteristic I appreciate so much.
As you can see from this huge gallery, due to her preparedness, ambition, and excitement, we were able to get a HUGE variety of images. I am beyond thrilled with the gallery delivery and am on the edge of my seat excited to share it with you all!
Emma, (okay, I’ll fan-girl for a moment) You are a light! Your kindness is so well balanced with your grit. You know how to get what you want, and you do it with grace. I truly look forward to seeing you grow, and taking this world by storm. You’ve got it all ahead, and your future couldn’t be brighter. I wish you many many blessings, and much reward for your hard work. XOXO

This momma to be was radiant in blue! She knew exactly what to wear to her maternity session! She is sure proud of all her boys.
I’ve had the honor to watch Ashlee grow into the wonderful woman and mom she is! And her boys are sure blessed to have her. And how adorable is she with that belly!
Ashlee booked a simple Petite Maternity Session, because she knew her boy would be, well a boy, and 30 minutes was more than enough. As you can see we tried to keep up with him, but he’s a quick little dude. What I loved, was that mom and just laughed it off. You can’t have high expectations of little ones. You really can’t predict them (well you can predict them being wild!). And you really have to let them have their way. And you have to laugh it off! They aren’t trying to be bad, they just don’t want to do what we want to do!
We had a great evening, with the light we wanted. We had a cool front the couple of days before, but the weather decided to hit back into the 90’s for us this day. We hid all the sweat pretty well!
Corey & Ashlee, It is a joy to be with ya’ll and I am humbled and grateful that you choose me year after year! I can’t wait to get my hands on the baby!

Hold on to your hats for this family session! This supremely fun and free family totals 10 humans!
I had a ball with this laid back family. There were no rules, no crazy expectations, and best of all, mom wanted the kids to be completely themselves. It made for a good time, with an unexpected and happy ending.

A casual at home on the farm family session.
Welcome to the Morgan Family Petite Photo Session!
We get so much out of a 30 minute session, and truthfully that’s about the limit for a toddler!
And this toddler! Oh my! She was a bundle of joy and excitement. She was eager to show off her outfit and loved taking pictures…. for about 7 minutes. Then she was ready to run! Good thing 7 minutes is all I need to get that smile-at-the-camera picture. Then we played! I sure got in my steps keeping up with her!
Then this momma. She was radiantly proud of her family, and she had every right. They are a fun bunch who love to love each other. It was a joy to watch her smile get so big as she watched her babies smile and giggle!
See for yourself!

Welcome to the Hood Family Maternity Session!
Going through the wedding process is such an intimate thing. I really do get to know my clients on such a deep level, that we typically become friends! I love that! Tyler and Alyssa were no exception. It helps that they are truly good natured, easy going people who everybody likes!
Our relationship made their maternity session a very enjoyable and relaxed time. We hung out, talked, and also took some pictures. This session is actually a Petite Session and you can see how much we really can get done in just 30 minutes.
These soon to be parents, decided to let their baby’s gender be a surprise. Spoiler alert, by the time I’m writing this they had just delivered a gorgeous baby girl. I’ll have her post up soon!
In the meantime, enjoy this gorgeous red headed friend of mine!

I truly enjoyed this laid back, no fluff – no muss, senior session we did out in the country!
As you will see, Hadley has the most gorgeous smile, and I believe she’s got a big, gorgeous heart to match. And don’t get me started on those dimples!! I especially love the black and whites, because you can really see them.
Overall we had a great day of Florida weather, with a little bit of wind. We just went with it, and most of the time just waited for the gusts to subside, and all was good. When we arrived on location, we scouted out the areas to photograph according to light, and wind direction. We figured out the outfit and jewelry, and then we started the session, and with a bit of light chasing, easily flowed into sunset.
Hadley has a face I just didn’t want to stop photographing, so I begged her to do some studio images after we lost all the light. She very sweetly complied, even though I know she was beat. And boy am I glad she did!!! I just loved her energy and excitement in making those last few frames! I was one happy photographer.
Then I let her leave… against my will. haha. I could have gone on all night! She would have choked me so I didn’t.
Anyway! I’ll leave ya’ll to it! Check out Hadley’s sun-drenched, sweet and sassy session!

Oh man. I look forward to this family photography session year after year! Watching these kids grow has been a joy. I love comparing past year photos with the current year. We even try to recreate some of the poses so we can really see their changes.
Plus, these kids are a joy! They keep me laughing and an hour session absolutely flies by.

Hope’s Senior Session truly couldn’t have gone better. Well, I could have lived without the wind… It took a hot minute to edit hair for this one!
Seriously though, she knocked it out of the park. She is a natural born fashionista, and even has a clothing and accessories section all her own in Second Times a Charm Consignment Shop. If you are like me, and can’t pick an outfit to save my life, then you should just call on Hope. She loves it, and she’s really really good at it. I’m a fan, can you tell?
Anyway! About her Senior Session! She did a great job with her hair & make-up, and she coordinated her outfits to flow with the schedule perfectly. We really did have nice weather, it was cool but not cold, with a nice breeze.
While they have their own cows, logistically we couldn’t make it work to get to them. So I had my super helpful husband feed up ours for her!
We used my private property and flowed through the evening creating a set of unique images and Hope chose great finals for her gallery. We finished up in the studio to get some editorial shots, and she didn’t disappoint there either!
Hope’s a good sport, and was super kind to me, no matter what weird thing I asked of her.
So, see for yourself, and you can honestly take lessons from her on how to rock your senior session!

Ya’ll! This was the sweetest, simplest, love filled, and fun wedding! Dave and Maggie were married on their family property in Williston, and as everyone around here knows that the Whitehurst Lodge is a lovely, picturesque homesite, and a wonderful place to get married.
Dave and Maggie found each other after both were just looking for the right match. Their first date was a romantic boat ride in Crystal River, and the romance hasn’t slowed down! After they learned they have the same interests and hobbies (and even favorited the same candy!), they knew there was going to be more to their story.
They both love to hunt and fish, and love spending time at the river. Maggie said that Dave simply makes her feel loved… oh and she’s smitten over his pretty blue eyes! Dave loves Maggie for her contagious laugh and her loyalty to him. They are truly a great team, at work and and home, and everyone I spoke to said how unbelievably happy they are for them! I haven’t known them long, but I feel like they are the type of people you can not only depend on, but also have a great time with!
Dave proposed to Maggie in July, and in a short time they put together a beautiful wedding day! They wanted a really relaxed day with a sprinkling of tradition, and touches of Christmas.
They also wanted to celebrate, and with the help of Justin Lee Partin band, the place was rockin! And oh the food! I wish I could share with you the wonderful smells of all the delicious dishes! Sisters Place knows how to put out a mouth watering spread!
Dave and Maggie, I really enjoyed meeting you and your sweet, kind family. It was truly an honor to be a part of your day and get to celebrate this new chapter in your lives. I am sure you know it, but ya’ll are a super sweet team, and I wish you every happiness that you deserve!
