When I asked Shelby to tell me how he proposed, this is what she said…”Well it’s kind of a long story LOL but we picked out the ring together a little while ago so I knew he had it and that it would be coming soon. We’ve been talking through details and I knew he was trying to plan something special. But he was putting a lot of pressure on himself LOL he called me that Tuesday night to tell me that he was going to do some big thing in my classroom with my kids, but that he kept getting the feeling I didn’t want it to be in front of people. Which I didn’t. (Good call!)

So he made reservations for Ipanema Brazilian Steakhouse that night and I just knew it was coming!! I got all dressed up and right before we were about to walk in he grabbed my arm and I immediately thought it was happening LOL and he hugs me and says please don’t be mad but I forgot the ring!! 🤣🤣🤣 so I was like 😳🤣🤣

So after we got back to the house, and had been about two hours, I thought for sure it wasn’t happening so I went and got in pajamas and took off my make up and then he asked me to go outside LOL and I said no 🤣🤣🤣

He is used to dealing with my moods and he is a saint 🤣🤣 we talked outside for a little while and I cried because I felt so silly LOL then he asked me please not to move and he literally sprinted to the truck LOL he opened the box and it has a light in it, so being outside in the dark and the light on it looked like a disco ball shining! We both busted out laughing and he got down on one knee and asked so sweetly. And that’s our story.”

And here we are, on a blustery, rainy summer day for their engagement session at Protea.
