I am thrilled to share this wedding with you, because it was magical. Sierra and Ozie’s wedding was a beautiful spring day in Alachua at The Barn at Rembert Farms. The sun was shining and we had a lovely breeze. We’d done a family session and their engagement session prior, which made me even more excited to be a part of this wedding.
When I arrived, I went straight to the bridesmaids cabin to see Sierra. While she was getting her finishing touches, I captured the detail shots. Among other things, Sierra was using her grandma’s handkerchief as her something old and borrowed, which was so heartwarming. Added to that was her stunning dress and super hot boots, and it was just lovely.
While the ladies were getting dressed I ran and worked with the guys. They were a ball of thunder, and were a dream to photograph. I just loved the wardrobe choices for them, comfortable in their boots and jeans, with vests and jackets added to bring it up a notch.
When we knocked their pictures out, I jogged back over to Sierra, and we did dad’s first look. I ain’t gonna lie… I teared up! It was so stinkin’ sweet.
I loved how the bridesmaids watched from afar, and were also wiping away tears!
Then we had Sierra and Ozie’s first look. Yep, a tear jerker too. At first I think Ozie was scared to touch her. She was a statuesque beauty in that dress! It was surely made just for her. Eventually he got over his shock and started loving on her.
Next thing you know we are at the ceremony, and it was a full house. The ceremony went off without a hitch and Mr. and Mrs. Parrish were introduced! I can’t say enough about how these two are with each other. Throughout their vows, you could just tell they were one.
Since they had done a first look, we just had a handful of pictures to take care of, and we were off to the reception. The hall is a really cool place, and just makes for a wonderfully rustic atmosphere. They got all the formalities of dancing (tears), cake cutting (laughter), and garter/bouquet tosses (roaring laughter) all taken care of and they danced the night away.
We did sneak out for some sunset pictures, and like every other part of the day, it was perfect. I didn’t know it was even possible for Sierra to look any more stunning, but she did!
It was a joy to be a part of their family and friends who obviously cared so much about Sierra & Ozie.
Honestly, this one was one to remember because it was so absolutely beautiful in every way.
Full of life and love.
Sierra & Ozie, it was truly an honor and privilege to be a part of your day, and document it for you. I smile every darn time I look at these pictures. I look forward to seeing you head into this next chapter arm in arm, and hope that our paths cross again soon.
