Logan + Kayla | Engaged

Weddings

Our St. Augustine engagement session day started off on the wrong foot for me. You see, I inadvertently had us all park in the wrong spot! And since it was moving day for the college, the streets were packed to the gills! So we decided to walk to our location, instead of drive.

We walked several blocks, in one million degree weather, to get to where we wanted to be. I was not happy with myself, so I kept apologizing, and Logan kept comforting me. Insert face palm emoji. Yea, it was backwards. I’m the one supposed to have all the positive vibes! Really and truly, I just didn’t want Kayla to sweat… not one drop. But she was. Because it was one million degrees. And I made us walk across town.

Oh, and did I mention, Kayla’s sister who was helping with hair and make-up was trudging along in a neck brace after an accident! She was just another victim to my misdirection. And I felt terrible! (Actually she is young and spry, and didn’t seem to be bothered, but just picture it for a minute won’t you?)

You’d never ever know there was any sort of a hiccup by looking at these two lovebirds!

Their joy is infectious isn’t it?!

After a bit of shooting, we got into our groove, and while I was working with Kayla alone, Logan found the most perfect sweets shop ever! Peace Pie World. I had to be a grown up professional, so I didn’t get try the ice cream, and boy did I want to. I may have drooled a tiny bit.

Once we made the long trek back to the car (okay, it was like 5 blocks, but I knew I had missed my perfect, very close, parking spot), we headed down to Washington Oaks State Park. It’s about a 30 minute drive south of St. Augustine. If you’ve not visited that GEM you should do that this weekend! It’s lovely… as you can see!

To cap off a wonderful session, we crossed to the beach side to visit the magnificent coquina rocks. It was beautiful to see Kayla’s energy change. The beach and ocean, you could easily see, feeds Kayla’s soul! The weather and sunset were dreamily perfect. And with our toes in the sand, we ended an epic Engagement Session! < capitalized because it should be. Because it was epic.

Kayla & Logan, ya’ll are a blessing to whoever crosses your paths. On behalf of everyone, I’d like to take a moment to thank ya’ll for being amazing humans.
